New Program Lets EV Drivers in the Midwest Earn $96 a Year by Charging Smarter

WeaveGrid is excited to announce the launch of the Charge Sync Rewards program with Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), bringing smart EV charging benefits to residential customers across I&M's service territory. Through Charge Sync Rewards, EV drivers can earn $8 per month (up to $96 per year) simply by charging during off-peak hours and supporting a more balanced, efficient grid.

Smarter Charging for EV Drivers: Program Participation Options

Charge Sync Rewards offers two enrollment options so customers can choose the experience that fits their lifestyle.

Charge Sync Plus is designed for drivers who want a completely hands-off experience. Participants plug in at home and WeaveGrid handles the rest — automatically generating a smart charging schedule that accounts for factors like cost, grid conditions, and renewable energy availability. Charging is scheduled during off-peak hours (11 p.m.–6 a.m.), while still ensuring the vehicle is ready by the driver's preferred departure time. Need to charge right away? Smart schedules can always be overridden.

Charge Sync participants manage their own charging schedules during off-peak hours and earn the same $8 monthly reward. Both options include access to personalized charging insights to help customers better understand and track their EV charging habits.

Both programs are available to customers with a Level 2 home charger and a supported vehicle or charging station.

• Supported vehicles: Tesla, Jeep, Toyota, or Lexus electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid
• Supported chargers: ChargePoint, Emporia, or Wallbox home charging station
