WeaveGrid recently launched a pilot program with Southern California Edison (SCE) called Charge Smart - SoCal. This program will help optimize electric vehicle (EV) charging for thousands of drivers in the Gateway Cities, offering dynamic scheduling to enhance customer savings and grid reliability. The initiative aims to enroll at least 3,000 EV drivers in the Gateway Cities region between Los Angeles proper and Orange County.

Empowering EV Drivers with Smart Charging and Savings

Through WeaveGrid’s smart management of vehicle charging schedules, EV drivers can save up to $600 per year on charging costs. This optimization effortlessly aligns charging with off-peak hours and multiple EVs to help protect - rather than strain - local energy demands. Charge Smart - SoCal participants will receive a $50 enrollment bonus and an additional $50 annual reward for each year they participate.

WeaveGrid's Technology Powers Seamless Convenience and Grid Resilience

At the core of Charge Smart - SoCal is WeaveGrid's cutting-edge technology, which leverages vehicle telematics and smart home charging infrastructure to optimize for intelligent EV charging scheduling. WeaveGrid’s patented DISCO software ensures customers’ daily driving needs are met while effectively minimizing strain on local grid infrastructure. This approach ensures that EV drivers have a reliable charge, while helping the electric grid by utilizing existing infrastructure more efficiently and cost-effectively.

Expanding Access and Benefits to Disadvantaged Communities

Charge Smart - SoCal seeks to support EV adoption. In fact, there is an additional $50 sign-up incentive specifically designed for qualifying low-income participants, broadening access and maximizing benefits for all EV drivers within the Charge Smart - SoCal Gateway Cities region, a dense area between the City of Los Angeles proper and Orange County.

Join the Future of Smart EV Charging

The Charge Smart - SoCal initiative is a three-year pilot program supported by the California Energy Commission (CEC). EV drivers in Gateway Cities are invited to enroll now to play a role in shaping a smarter energy future.
