Expanding EV Benefits in New Mexico with Xcel Energy’s Charging Perks
We’re proud to expand our work with Xcel Energy as the Charging Perks program launches in New Mexico, building on its success in Colorado.
Helping EV Owners Save Money and Support a Cleaner Grid
Charging Perks makes it easier for New Mexico EV drivers to save money on charging while supporting the state’s clean energy transition. By enrolling, EV drivers are rewarded for charging at times when renewable energy is most abundant on the grid. This helps lower charging costs, reduces stress on the electric system, and ensures that more of the electricity powering EVs comes from cleaner sources.
New participants will receive a $50 sign-on bill credit and an annual bill credit of $70 for continued participation in the program.
WeaveGrid’s Role
Behind the scenes, WeaveGrid provides the technology platform that connects EVs to the grid. Through our secure, utility-grade software, we make it seamless for drivers to enroll their vehicles and participate in smart charging programs like Charging Perks.

Expanding Xcel Energy’s EV Charging Portfolio
Charging Perks first launched with Xcel Energy in Colorado, where it has already helped EV drivers save money and reduce emissions while providing valuable flexibility to the grid. We are thrilled to now bring these same benefits to New Mexico and expand opportunities for more communities to take part in the clean transportation future.
Xcel Energy also offers a passive managed charging program, Optimize Your Charge, that is managed by WeaveGrid and available in Colorado, New Mexico, and Minnesota.
